GRAVITY SPORTS RACE SERIES

RACE # 2                 5/25/2002

Pictures below

Another great day in NH. The day that followed our first race a couple weeks ago it rained non stop all day. Last Saturday it snowed all day. Today there was not a cloud in the sky. Temps in the 70’s . A slight breeze to help keep you comfortable. And to top it all off the best company any gravity freak loves to be in. Sure a small event by some standards. But as they say big things come in small packages. And today some big racing came to a small hill.  With a smaller then hoped for turnout, the racing didn’t suffer one bit. Just as I had hoped when I first looked at this road the last straight away to the finish proved to be the make it or break it spot on the course. Racing so close we had to get a video camera at the finish just to help with the finishes. We had 1 crash that sent Amanda to the hospital for a checkout. But she soon return in good shape with nothing major wrong. She is sporting a nice road rash souvenir. Although I believe it actually came from her leathers rubbing the skin off not pavement. Other then that we had our share of thrills and spills but fortunately everyone walked away.  The points series is taking shape and I predict that we will have some good rivalries going within the next few races.

I will write more and post some pictures after some R&R. Tonight I am going to kick back and reflect on another successful event. Thanks again to everyone who attended. Whether you raced or not. All of you are the reason my part so rewarding.

Next Race June 8. Mark your calendar and come see what big racing on a small hill is all about.

THANKS!

I know your wondering why I am in Pro Luge and not Andy. Andy went with Amanda to get checked out at the hospital and instead of not running the class I decided to run it with Jim. My first race since 1999. It was fun. But don’t look for me to be doing it again anytime soon.
